On Saturday, May 17 the Knights of Columbus Council 12988, St Elizabeth Seton Parish, held a sit down, waiter served, gourmet dinner prepared by our very own former White House chef Damian Martineau.

The Knights, committed to charity and patriotism,  donated 100% of the proceeds, which amounted to $9,000, to Liberty House in Manchester.  Liberty House provides substance free transitional housing, daily necessities and services that enable homeless, honorably discharged veterans to achieve self sufficiency.  Liberty House “fills in the gaps” of the VA system.  Liberty House is primarily a  privately funded  organization, and depends on donations for its services.

The donation was made to Keith Howard, Executive Director of Liberty House at the Knights monthly meeting on June 11. Mr. Howard thanked the Knights and said the donation will go a long way towards fulfillment of Liberty House’s mission.

The menu was supplied by generous donations from local restaurants and food vendors.  The Knights wish to thank the following for their donations and assistance: Hannaford, Shaw’s, Market Basket, Fresh Market, Harvest Market, Panera Bread, Outback Steakhouse, Weathervane, Carrabba’s, Sysco, Southern New England Events, Great New Hampshire Restaurants (Copper Door, T Bones, Cactus Jack’s), Bond Auto Parts, Snapdragon Associates, The Women’s Guild of St Elizabeth Seton Parish,  and all those who attended.

The Knights of Columbus would also like to thank you, our fellow parishioners, for your tremendous generosity.
