Quarterly Meeting 7/24/2011
Grand Knights from across the state met in Rochester on Sunday July 24 to discuss the upcoming fraternal year. Following are summary notes of items of interest to the Council members.
Service projects were discussed at great length. Many good ideas were offered by the various program directors. This discussion encouraged Council's to plan for the upcoming year. Your Council has completed its calendar for this year. New ideas and programs are always welcome. Let us know if you have an idea.
Founders Day First Degree Team - the State Council will select a First Degree Team to perform the ceremonial in New Haven on Founders Day, 2012. Obviously, this would be a great honor for our Council if selected. Evaluators will be stopping by this fall to assess our performance! Expect the winning team to be announced at the quarterly in January.
The membership goal for every Council is 12 new brother Knights for the upcoming fraternal year. Membership Director Dave Wilson will be on point for our Council to help us achieve the goal. However, everyone has a roll by simply asking a friend or neighbor to join the Council. Let's work together!
The 3rd degree ceremonial has been updated. The State Council is seeking volunteer Councils to host the 3rd degree ceremonial.
Kidney Fund is currently supporting about 25 patients receiving dialysis. Your State Council pays for the medication of these patients to support dialysis. The State Council is seeking donations to build the fund used to support this program.
The State Newsletter is used to promote various events. This will be posted under the "News" tab on our web site.
Overall, it was a productive meeting. Please let me know what questions you have.
